Overview

Units are single-instance characters in Anime Origins that you place around your Tower to defend against waves of enemies. Each unit carries unique passives, abilities and a rarity tier, so building a balanced team is the core of the game. New players should read the beginner guide and study the unit tier list before spending gems.

Everything You Need to Know

Before you start summoning, watch this full overview of Anime Origins. The creator explains the lobby, daily spins, gold merchant, milestones and the summoning system, giving you a complete picture of the game on launch day. Pair it with the gems guide to plan your first rolls.

How Rarity Works

Rarity decides how strong a unit is and how hard it is to obtain. Secret units are the rarest and most powerful, followed by Mythic, Legendary and Epic. In Anime Origins, higher rarity usually means stronger passives, but a well-placed Epic can still carry early Story Mode if you build around it.

Each rarity also affects how you obtain the unit. Secret units like Valcrad (Alucard) come from the banner with extremely low odds, while Mythic units such as Goju (Honored One) Gojo and Noroto (Linked) Naruto are more realistic goals. Legendary and Epic units are the bread and butter of most teams.

How to Get Units

Units are obtained through the Summoning System in the lobby. Spend gems to pull from the banner, where each rarity has its own odds, and use the daily spin for free rerolls and shards. The gems guide explains the fastest ways to fund your pulls.

Once you own a unit, feed it EXP to level it up and unlock upgrades. Duplicate copies raise its star level, and evolution materials let you transform it into a stronger form. The traits guide covers how to reroll traits for even more power.

Evolution is the endgame of unit progression. Every unit evolves using materials from Story Mode, Infinite Mode and Raids, and evolved units gain new visuals and much stronger passives. Learn the full loop in the beginner guide and prioritise one carry at a time.

Summon

Pull units from the banner with gems and free daily spins.

Level Up

Feed EXP and duplicates to raise stats and star level.

Evolve

Spend materials from Story, Infinite and Raids to evolve.

💡 Banner odds are low for high rarities — save gems for rate-up events and check the codes page for free gems.

Build Your First Team

Building your first team is simpler than it looks. Start with one strong damage unit, add a support that buffs your team, and finish with an economy unit that generates extra gold. The support units guide explains the roles in detail. Check the elemental tier list to match your units against enemy elements.

Upgrades and traits make or break your team. Reroll traits on your carries to get damage, range or cooldown bonuses, and level your Tower between waves. The traits guide and the elemental tier list are essential reading. Remember that some units are better in Raids while others shine in Infinite Mode, so build around the mode you play most.

1

Summon a Starting Team

Use your first gems and the daily spin to pull a balanced mix of units.

2

Level Your Carries

Feed EXP to your main damage units first so they can handle early waves.

3

Evolve and Upgrade

Spend materials to evolve key units and raise their star level.

4

Reroll Traits

Use reroll tickets to improve traits on units you plan to keep.

💡 Team synergy matters more than raw rarity — a cohesive team beats a pile of strong units.
